Getting ready to fly

Tomorrow morning I’ll be getting on a plane to travel to Costa Rica. The flight will take a little over seven hours and I’ll be away the U.S. for a little over five weeks.  While I’m there, I’ll be working with a colleague on reforestation research in the Monteverde region.  I wrote about this in a post a few weeks ago: Back to Costa Rica.

So … I’m planning on writing every day or two about what I’m doing as well as the landscape, ecosystems, and organisms of Costa Rica.  It would be great to hear from you along the way!

By the skin of a tree and the voice of a dog: Sounds like a great trip you are emBARKing on.

How fun! If you have a layover in San Jose, Restaurante Tin Jo — Chinese fusion — is owned by a woman I worked with in Thailand: Maria Hon. Folks who have gone have loved it. Tell her I said hello! And have an excellent adventure.
